Painting is not magic. We all start at the same place. I’m deeply frustrated by people who watch the glory of watercolor unfold on my paper in the field and say, ‘I’ve always wanted to paint but I could never do that. I have no talent.’ It has nothing to do with talent! It is knowledge acquired from mentors and accumulated time with a brush in your hand. We are all still learning. Northwest Watercolor Society is filled with great artists who would be delighted to help you begin. Many offer classes. |
